Today’s paper poste comes with some classic-looking invitations in fun colors from Stoney Creek, Ontario-based Rock Paper Gifts.  They specialize in unique, custom-made invitations and I, for one, am in love with the crisp folds and great layering!

Immersed in mint, pink, and a smattering of gold.  That’s been my head lately.  So, today I bring you some pretty stationery in that palette!

I think I have adequately discussed my bordering-on-obsessive love with paper–the feel, the color, the design.  You name it.  After attending the Hamilton/Halton wedding show last weekend and meeting a few more amazing artists, I want to steer this series toward local Canadian stationers.  There are so many beautiful pieces and, since I was lucky enough to actually meet a few of these great people, I’d love for you to see their work!

I was introduced to Blush & Gray about a month ago through Wedding Obsession.  They are based out of Toronto and work very closely with a group of artisans and suppliers to be able to provide other items that coordinate with their invitation suites.  This allows you to be able to get the ribbon to perfectly match your invitation suite’s colors to match your groom’s bowtie.  How great is that?

Since I have been smitten with gold lately….

Gorgeous, right?  That save-the-date has got to be this sparkle-loving girl’s favorite thing ever right now.  Who can resist a little glitter?!

I would say that Christmas (well, any) gift wrapping and packaging is my favorite thing–next to event planning, of course.  Finding the perfect paper to creating those perfect creases to tying some lush ribbon into a big bow to topping with a pretty tag….ah, it all gets me.

I’ve had my eye out lately for the perfect look for this Christmas and my big pile of gifts awaiting the wrap, and Target, of course, did not disappoint.  (Because, does it ever?  No.)  I don’t do the “typical” Christmas wrap of ornaments, snowflakes, Santa, snowmen because it’s not me.  Also, I like to use wrapping paper all year and need my choices to do double-duty for other events and possible photo backdrops.

Look what I found.  Boom.  Amazing.

For today’s Paper Poste, I decided to bring you a little of my own work.  I have a few lovely women I need to thank, and wanted to do it the old-fashioned way with pretty things in the mailbox!  I figured while I was at it, I might as well make a few extra so I could have some on hand.  Honestly, when you’re making cards (especially of the same or similar design), it’s just as easy to make six as it is one.

Gorgeous letterpress design by Steel Petal Press-- on theSpunkySapphire.wordpress.comvia

So these gorgeous letterpress-flourished note cards are the subject of a little giveaway over on the Everygirl.  I entered and you should, too!  It’s quite possibly the easiest entry I’ve ever encountered (bonus points to the ladies there!).   If you’re not into the note cards, you could instead receive $200 off your letterpress wedding invitation project.  Not a bad deal, eh?

Steel Petal Press has everything from business stationary to greeting cards to wedding invitation collections!  I personally love anything letterpressed.  What can I say?  I’m a texture and pattern girl!  A little dimension to paper never hurt!  Also, you can read all about Shayna and check out her work space as she was featured on the Everygirl!

Since you all know how much I love snail mail, I thought I’d pass along this little opportunity!  And who can resist a little swirled font?!

Rice.  Birdseed.  Confetti.  All have been known to be the visual celebration of a couple’s vows.  The congratulations flow after the “I do’s”, and the toss commences.  Rice has been called a detriment to birds’ health, birdseed is kind of a pain to be covered in, but confetti is fun and can be colored any way you want it!

I’m so in love with my next event that I had to find paper suites to go with the aesthetic!  (I love when new opportunities present themselves!).  I keep thinking maybe someday I will be so sick of chevron, but, truth is, I’m not so sure!  I am a pattern lover; no way around that!

Without further chit-chat, I’ll let the pretty speak for itself!
