holiday break

18 Dec

Allow me to wish you an insanely awesome Christmas and very blessed New Year.  Wow, one week until Christmas and only two weeks until 2014!  I’m definitely a little early, but I am planning to fully enjoy every second of every day of the next two weeks.

I get giddy just thinking about the feelings surrounding these holidays and the excitement of all the stuff going on!  I’ve been looking forward to and planning most of it for at least two months and want to be a hundred percent present for it since I know it will fly by.  Great times always do, don’t they?

Let’s be for real for a sec: I’m counting down the days, but don’t want it all to go too fast.  Y’know? Okay, moving on.

As I take in everything that happened this year, I can’t help but remember planning for and mapping out a fabulous 2013.  Wow!  That went crazy fast.  I’ve been doing the same thing for next year and am excited to see what’s ahead!

Christmas music has been playing pretty constantly the last few days (hey, I like to indulge in the season) and gift wrap and ribbon are strewn all over my place as I get immersed in the process of prettying packages.  (p.s.–how amazing is that wrapping paper?!)

I have plans to ring in the new year with great friends, champagne, and striped straws.  I have a few days off from work in a row and totally plan to soak in all the time with family and to dream and to skip worrying about stuff.  I want to be mentally present and not get distracted by silly things (unless they’re fun, memory-making silly things).

In order to feel “wrapped up” and to allow myself the guilt-less pleasure of just taking in every moment, I wanted to let you know that I’m taking a vacation from the blog until next year!

Have a wonderful holiday and dream big for 2014.  Here’s to a new year of making awesome things happen!
