image by theSpunkySapphire.wordpress.comYou know those things you keep meaning to do, but keep finding reasons for why they’re not done?  Maybe it’s that business plan you haven’t “gotten around to yet” or that blog post you’ve been “meaning to write” or that healthy lifestyle you really want to live but you “have no motivation”.

This week, stop the excuses.  Start anywhere.

This week, make a mini list–three things toward whatever goal you’ve been working toward.  Knock those three tiny things out, and you’ll be well on your way.  Sometimes, doing something is all the motivation you need.  Write that grocery list, clear the clutter for five minutes with a garbage bag (trust me, you’ll feel so CLEAN and motivated when the five minutes are up), or jot down a few notes for that blog post.

The KEY to remember with this mini list is that it’s NOT your regular to-do list that tends to get buried in the long-term duties like “launch my business”, “lose 20 pounds”, and “start three blog series this month”.   Baby steps.  That’s what it’s all about.  All the little things get you the big one.
